Rowan University has announced a new partnership with Nebius, a Netherlands-based company specializing in AI infrastructure and cloud computing, to strengthen artificial intelligence education and prepare students for careers in the growing tech sector.
The collaboration, announced Thursday, aims to give Rowan students and faculty access to Nebius's cloud computing platforms and AI tools. This will allow them to work on real-world projects involving machine learning, data analysis, and large-scale computing. The university plans to integrate these resources into its curriculum, giving students hands-on experience with the same technology used by leading AI companies.
Officials from both organizations said the partnership is designed to close the gap between academic learning and industry needs. As demand for AI expertise rises across many fields, from healthcare to manufacturing, universities are under pressure to produce graduates who can hit the ground running. Rowan's engineering and computer science programs will be among the first to use the new tools.
Nebius, which operates data centers and provides cloud services for AI workloads, sees the partnership as a way to help shape the next generation of tech workers. By giving students early access to professional-grade infrastructure, the company hopes to build a pipeline of talent that understands how to deploy AI at scale.
No financial terms of the deal were disclosed. The partnership is expected to launch in the coming months, with pilot programs starting in select courses.
