The rapid rise of artificial intelligence has moved from tech labs to the front of the lecture hall, and for many faculty members, it feels like the ground is shifting beneath their feet. Whether you are grading essays, designing lab exercises, or leading seminar discussions, you have likely noticed that students are interacting with information in ways that were unthinkable just a few semesters ago.
That is why we are reaching out directly to you. We want to hear your honest, on-the-ground perspective on how AI has changed your teaching practice. Have you adjusted your assignments to account for AI writing tools? Are you using AI to generate practice problems or to help draft lecture notes? Or have you banned it entirely from your syllabus, only to find that students still use it for brainstorming outside of class?
Your insights matter because they go beyond policy documents and administrative memos. You are the one who sees the blank stares when a concept is too complex, and you are the one who sees the spark when a student uses a chatbot to debug a stubborn piece of code. We want to know about those small, daily adjustments you have made, as well as the big philosophical questions you are wrestling with about academic integrity and the nature of original thought.
The goal is not to judge your approach, but to build a clearer picture of what is actually happening in classrooms. By sharing your stories, you help colleagues who are still figuring out whether to treat AI as a threat, a tool, or something in between. Take a few minutes to tell us what has changed, what has stayed the same, and what you wish you had known when you first started navigating this new terrain. Your voice will help shape the conversation for everyone who teaches.
