On Thursday, October 23, the University of New Mexico College of Education and Health Sciences will host an exciting event where staff, faculty, and administrators will immerse themselves in the daily lives of educational professionals. Participants will spend the entire day shadowing teachers, counselors, administrators, athletic trainers, nutritionists, and various other professionals within the Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) system and its partner organizations.
This initiative aims to foster a deeper understanding of the educational environment and the diverse roles that contribute to student success. By engaging directly with professionals in the field, the College of Education and Health Sciences hopes to enhance collaboration and strengthen connections between the university and local schools.
The event not only provides valuable insights for the university staff but also highlights the importance of community partnerships in education. This hands-on experience is expected to enrich the educational programs offered at the university and ultimately benefit the students they serve.
