HAMMOND and WESTVILLE, Ind. — Purdue University Northwest (PNW) has achieved national acclaim by receiving the prestigious International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants’ (EC-Council) Academia Circle of Excellence Award. This honor highlights the university's commitment to delivering high-quality education that effectively prepares students and professionals for critical roles in the national cybersecurity workforce. Remarkably, this is the third consecutive year that PNW has been recognized with this award.
Since 2019, PNW’s College of Technology has collaborated with the EC-Council to integrate two of its accredited certifications into the curriculum: Certified Ethical Hacker and Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator. This partnership has significantly enhanced the educational experience for undergraduate students pursuing degrees in cybersecurity. The university's focus on practical skills and industry-relevant training ensures that graduates are well-equipped to meet the growing demands of the cybersecurity field, reinforcing PNW's reputation as a leader in technology education.
